Romance Writers of America Approves New Special Interest Chapter

The Board of Directors of the Romance Writers of America recently approved the membership application of the Cultural, Interracial, and Multicultural Special Interest Chapter! The purpose of the new chapter  is to promote excellence in ethno-cultural romance by advancing the professional goals of career-focused writers of Cultural, Interracial, and Multicultural romance through networking and advocacy, sharing of information, education and awareness building, and other suitable activities, while providing continuing support to writers of Cultural, Interracial,  and Multicultural  romance fiction.

Of course, the two of us are extremely excited about this development and proud of the authors who put their time and energy behind pulling together the necessary paperwork to get this done.  This chapter is long overdue! And as a former member of RWA, I can tell you it isn't an easy process.  So kudos are in order to these ladies!  If you're interested in learning more, you can contact the chapter through their email @ cim chapter rwa @gmail.com (minus the spaces).

Romance Writers of America® (RWA) was chartered in 1981 to serve as a nonprofit trade association for romance writers. Currently, there are more than 10,000 romance writers and related industry professionals are members of Romance Writers of America.
